REC watches were created with individuality in mind. With an ethos to stray from the ordinary and redefine how a timepiece can tell a story, REC watches relate to you, not as a customer, but as an individual. As the creation of two watch fanatics, REC watches are unpretentious yet ultimately something the creators would want to wear themselves. Every single REC watch is made by salvaging classic cars and icons, and transforming them into watch components, a process that is named, ‘Recover, Recycle, Reclaim.’ Each REC watch is visually unique, no two are identical and all include handmade components that are born with the story from the object which it was made. The REC Mark 1 collection is inspired by the classic dashboard of the Mark 1 Mini’s. Dials are made directly from salvaged chassis parts from the very first Mini. The classic REC Mark 1 watch has become synonymous with the 60’s and was a true favourite amongst celebrities and the common public alike. The REC P-51 Automatic watch is crafted by recycling authentic 1960’s Ford Mustangs. As a symbol of freedom and opportunity, the REC P-51 watch utilises recycled horsepower and includes a custom built 4-piece case with a handmade dial and reliable Miyota 9130 automatic movement. Every single REC P-51 watch comes with a storycard which you can scan using the QR app on your phone or tablet which will take you to a small documentary video of the specific car that became your watch.
